Zilingo Encourages MSMEs to Face the Shocks amid the Pandemic
To overcome this challenge Zilingo’s B2B platform, Zilingo Trade, strives to support consumers and businesses to operate smoothly in the last half of 2020 through the Octoberfest campaign and several other sub-campaigns which took place during October 2020.
Since last March, most Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) players in Indonesia have experienced severe shocks due to the global pandemic which has directly affected business operations and continuity.
The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) stated that around 30 million small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) were affected by market fluctuations (inconsistencies or shocks) triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Melina Marpaung, Head of Commercial Zilingo, said that through this campaign, merchants, especially MSMEs, can present exclusive offers that can boost order volume and improve their branding.
“This program is also expected to answer consumer demand which continues to increase for products that are sought after and affordable in Zilingo Trade,” said Melina in her statement, Wednesday (7/10/2020). He added that this festival also ensures consumers make purchases safely from home and empowers merchants to restore their economic conditions.
Giving Up to 80 Percent Discount
How many programs are included in the Octoberfest program, some of which are booming wholesalers (1-31 October 2020) which offer best-selling products curated in various categories, such as fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and FMCG starting from IDR 10,000.
There is also Octoberfest 10.10 (1-10 October 2020) which presents attractive offers and discounts from the 20 bestsellers across categories at Zilingo Trade. In addition to discounts of up to 80 percent for selected products, consumers can also use the voucher codes provided: OKTFEST150 and OKTFEST200 to get more discounts for the products of their choice.
Then at Z-Seller Week (every week from 1-31 October 2020), selected MSME players are given the opportunity to showcase their superior products which are expected to increase ongoing promotions such as discounts of up to 30%, exclusive product packages, and other attractive offers.
To commemorate National Batik Day on 2 October, the ‘Batik Zalebration’ sub-campaign highlights a collection of the best traditional fabrics from Indonesia at Zilingo Trade. A wide variety of batik designs for Men and Women are available to help consumers combine their styles with ethnic accessories.
This sub-campaign is also part of the Proud Made Indonesia program to support local craftsmen in the batik industry and MSME entrepreneurs. Batik Zalebration takes place from 1 to 15 October 2020.
Customers can Enjoy Free Shipping
In October, Zilingo Trade also held a sub-campaign of ‘Healthy Mental Body’ which featured various medical supplies such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), masks, face shields, multivitamins, and various other health products that can be purchased in bulk.
Consumers can take advantage of free shipping promos of up to 10 kg throughout Java by using the shipping methods available at Zilingo Trade, as well as a 25% discount on shipping costs to all regions of Indonesia with Indah Cargo. In addition, consumers can also enjoy the same-day delivery benefits in the Jabodetabek area with special rates from Paxel.
To ease wholesale purchase payments for consumers, Zilingo Trade is also partnering with Kredivo to provide an additional 5% discount (maximum IDR 100,000) for buyers with a minimum purchase of IDR 1,000,000. He hopes the festival will help consumers to make purchases safely from home and empower merchants to restore economic conditions.
“Since last March, most of the MSME players in Indonesia have experienced severe shocks due to the global pandemic which directly affects operations and business continuity,” he said.
Previously, Zilingo Trade helped business players meet business needs from various categories with attractive offers, through the ‘September Ceria’ online procurement festival which was held from 1 to 30 September 2020.
