Komerce Becomes the Best Startup in the NextDev Talent Scouting 2020

Telkomsel announced Komerce startup as Best of The Best Startup at The NextDev Talent Scouting 2020 event. Komerce is a startup that brings together business and talent in the field of e-commerce in the long term. Komerce service users can look for talent in the e-commerce field remotely, and submit payroll, SOP, and other operational needs to Komerce.

Komerce outperformed its competitors in the Top 4 Best of The Best Startup stage, namely Duitin from the EnviroTech For Better Planet Category, DocLink from the HealthTech Innovation Category, and Parakerja from the EdTech For All Category.

Thus, Komerce also has the right to bring home a grant of IDR 100 million from Telkomsel. Furthermore, all the finalists at the Grand Final National Pitching totaling 12 startups will take part in the follow-up program, The NextDev Academy 2021.

The NextDev Talent Scouting itself is a national competition for early-stage startups with positive social impacts, which can strengthen the digital ecosystem in Indonesia through the implementation of technology in a wider sector.

In this edition, The NextDev Talent Scouting 2020 is divided into four vertical categories, namely EnviroTech For Better Planet, The Borderless Digital Economy, HealthTech Innovation, and EdTech for All.

Each category is designed based on the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations so that The NextDev Talent Scouting can form a startup that is able to provide the latest technology-based solutions to every fundamental challenge in society.

President Director of Telkomsel, Setyanto Hantoro said that with The NextDev initiative, it is hoped that digital talents who are building pilot businesses can be involved in the development of the creative economy sector by using digital technology which can open up various opportunities for the advancement of the Indonesian nation.

“Hopefully in the future, Telkomsel and the startups assisted by The NextDev can create an ecosystem that can increase the added value contribution of the creative digital economy,” concluded Setyanto in a written statement received by KompasTekno, Tuesday (2/2/2022)

Held to Support Indonesian Startups

Telkomsel is again holding The NextDev Talent Scouting and The NextDev Academy in 2020. Both The NextDev Talent Scouting and The NextDev Academy are held to strengthen Telkomsel’s efforts through The NextDev in capturing as well as advancing more early-stage startups that have positive social impacts in Indonesia.

Vice President for Corporate Communications of Telkomsel Denny Abidin said, The NextDev which was held starting 2015 has collaborated with more than 5,000 startups from all over Indonesia.

“This year we want to continue to strengthen The NextDev, which has become a solid ecosystem for startups in Indonesia, especially those in the early stages,” said Denny, in an official statement from Telkomsel received Thursday (26/11/2020).

The NextDev Talent Scouting is a national scale competition for early-stage startups that have a social impact and are able to strengthen the digital ecosystem in Indonesia through the implementation of technology in a wider sector.
