Grab Prepares Several Programs to Encourage Bali Tourism

Grab Indonesia is again a strategic partner of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) to support the #ItstimeforBali campaign in order to open access to Bali as a tourist destination widely, especially for foreign tourists.

The company provides a variety of service promotions including transportation, vacation packages, food delivery, as well as e-health services to provide a comfortable travel experience with strict health protocols from GrabProtect and vaccinated driver-partners.

“We hope that Grab’s contribution can have a positive impact on supporting the recovery of the tourism sector in Bali,” said Director of Central Public Affairs, Grab Indonesia, Tirza R. Munusamy in an official statement received, Thursday (4/11/2021).

Grab has also prepared a series of promotions for a budget-friendly and budget-friendly holiday experience through the Serbu campaign or Holiday Fun to welcome the holiday season and provide a pleasant holiday experience in Bali.

Grab itself presents the Serbu: Seru-Seruan Vacation campaign to welcome tourists who come to Bali. This campaign comes in the form of the Grab Serbu Vacation Package which consists of promotions for GrabFood, GrabRental, and GrabJastip services, then there are special offers from travel destination partners.

Not only that, but Grab also presents the GrabAcademy program as a form of training for driver-partners to provide the best service to tourists.

Driver-partners are expected to have a better understanding of the needs and expectations of tourists in Bali with this training.

“The initiatives in tourism sector are expected to be able to boost the growth of tourism MSME business and creative industries in Bali,” said Nia Niscaya.

Grab, Emtek, and Bukalapak Start the MSME Digitization Acceleration Program in Kupang

Previously, Grab, Emtek, and Bukalapak had just launched the City of the Future (Real Collaboration for the Future) program. This program is an extensive accelerator targeting MSMEs in small cities across Indonesia.

This program focuses on 3 priorities, which are adoption of digital platforms, vaccination, and empowering MSMEs through mentoring training for business development through digital technology.

As their first step, the digitization program for MSME started in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara and will continue gradually in Gowa, Solo, Malang, and Pekanbaru until the end of December this year. This program targets to reach 10,000 MSMEs.

Grab together with Emtek and Bukalapak want to embrace MSMEs, especially those in small cities, so that they can not only use technology and benefit from the digital economy.

“They can run their business on a safe and reliable platform,” said Country Managing Director Grab Indonesia, Neneng Goenadi, in an official statement received on Thursday (14/10/2021).

Meanwhile, Emtek’s Managing Director, Sutanto Hartanto, said that this strategic collaboration will expand digitalization offerings for MSMEs through platforms within the Emtek ecosystem, ranging from logistics, financial inclusion, to awareness.

The collaboration between Grab digital ecosystem and Emtek will provide more complete access to MSMEs on the platform, from logistics to financial inclusion, for example through the Mitra Bukalapak and GrabKios platforms.

“The Emtek’s media network plays role in increasing the awareness, both for MSME playersand customers, to use digital platforms to the fullest,” he said.

Later, with three priorities being the focus, each party will combine expertise to train as well as assist MSMEs. Therefore, around 100 selected MSMEs in Kupang and Solo will receive a number of things, as follows:

1. Special training on business management mentored by Grab and Bukalapak

2. Free assistance for one month from the design, packaging, to marketing through social media and influencers

3. Free advertising on Grab and Bukalapak platforms

4. 5 selected MSMEs will receive publication on the Emtek Group media network
