Several Areas iIndonesia have been Opened for Foreigners

In addition to Bali, the government will open Bintan and Batam in the Riau Islands to foreign citizens. However, Luhut has not specified which countries are allowed to visit Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Singapore is not allowed to enter because it has not met the level 1 or 2 standards according to the provisions of the World Health Organization (WHO).

“There are 18 countries that can enter Indonesia and they will be announced in an integrated manner in the Circular of the Minister of Home Affairs,” Luhut said in a virtual press conference, Monday (11/10).

Previously, the government said foreign tourists allowed to enter the Island of the Gods included South Korea, Japan, China, Abu Dhabi, and New Zealand.

In addition to the pre-departure requirement, the government is currently preparing the arrival requirements (on-arrival requirement). Some of the conditions are filling out the E-HAC via the PeduliLindung application and the RT-PCR test on arrival at your own expense.

If the test result is negative, the traveler can quarantine in a quarantine place that has been reserved for 5 days. Then, the traveler did PCR on day 4 at night. “If the result is negative, then on day 5 you can get out of quarantine,” said Luhut.
