Gadjian Offers THR Bailout to Companies Affected by the Pandemic

Human resource management (HR) startup, Gadjian released a new program, namely bailout holiday allowance (THR) for companies affected by the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19). To run this THR bailout program, Gadjian collaborates with peer-to-peer (P2P) lending KoinWorks financial technology (fintech) startups.

The aim of the 2020 Koin Gaji THR program is to help ease the burden on business actors affected by the corona pandemic so that they can still pay in installments or pay THR 2020 to their employees.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gadjian Afia R Fitriati said, through the 2020 Koin Gaji THRs, businesses could get THR bailouts with affordable interest. THR bailout submitted by this company once approved will be directly transferred to the employee’s account within three days.

This program applies to businesses in any field that have a minimum of five employees. “We hope that the Koin Gaji THR program can become an option for business people to alleviate the complicated wage dilemma in this crisis,” Afia said in a press release on Monday (11/5).

Koin Gaji THR’s Emergence is Triggered by the Difficult Conditions during the Pandemic

The emergence of the 2020 Koin Gaji THR program was triggered by this year’s THR payment issue, which is quite complicated. The reason is, many companies’ performance was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, many companies find it difficult to pay salaries and THR.

Although THR 2020 is a complicated issue, the payment must still be made. This is stated in a Circular (SE) issued by the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah. In the SE, the Menaker asked the governors to ensure that companies pay religious THRs to workers in accordance with statutory provisions.

Even so, SE Number M / 6 / HI.00.01 / V / 2020 still opens opportunities for companies that cannot afford to pay THR at the specified time, to postpone or repay the 2020 THR payments to employees.

Gadjian CEO, Afia R Fitriati said the issue of payment of THR during the corona pandemic was a dilemmatic issue. Even though the government has given THR payment relief, it may be that some of the company’s employees are still waiting for the THR to be sent to parents and families in their hometown.

“We hope that the Koin Gaji THR program can become an option for business people to alleviate the complicated wage dilemma in this crisis,” Afia R Fitriati said in a press statement received by Tempo on May 11, 2020.

The Program is a Part of the #GotongRoyongGadjian Initiative

The Koin Gaji THR Program is part of the #GotongRoyongGadjian initiative launched by Gadjian to help Indonesian businesses through the economic crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic. Through the Koin Gaji THRs the company can at least still pay the THR payments and not postpone them.

Afia explained that initially, this initiative was specifically intended for users of the Gadjian and Hadirr applications, an online attendance application that was also built by Gadjian’s parent company, PT Fatiha Sakti.

In addition to releasing the 2020 Koin Gaji THR program, in April, Gadjian has launched various information about assistance that can ease business owners and released it in the form of COVID-19 Crisis Support List for Business Actors and can be accessed at https://bit.ly/GotongRoyongCOVID19.

The Covid-19 Crisis Assistance List for Business Owners compiled by the Gadjian team currently lists approximately 100 types of information on assistance, relief, and special promos from home and abroad that can ease the burden of business owners, both those from the government and parties private.

This list is expected to continue to grow and will continue to be updated by the Gadjian team as information is available. Gadjian hopes that this initiative will inspire all parties, both government and private, to raise the spirit of mutual cooperation in dealing with the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
