UMG Idealab, the company that is the center of technological innovation 4.0 by the innovator Kiwi Aliwarga again carved his achievements at the international level. Innovation in agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries by one of its startups, MSMB (Mitra Sejahtera Pembangunan Bangsa), won the Hermes Startup Award 2020.

This prestigious award event is the inaugural and part of the annual Hannover Messe technology exhibition which is planned to be held in Germany last April. However, the exhibition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ceremonial award ceremony will be held online with the headline ‘Hannover Messe Digital Days’ on July 14. The nomination criteria in this event require innovative technology and provide solutions, with a maximum company age of five years.

This prestigious award event is the inaugural and part of the annual Hannover Messe technology exhibition which is planned to be held in Germany, April 2020. However, the Hannover Messe 2020 was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the ceremonial award ceremony will be held on July 14 online titled Hannover Messe Digital Days.

The nomination criteria in this event require innovative technology and provide solutions, with a maximum company age of five years.

UMG Idealab founder, Kiwi Aliwarga explained under the direction of Kiwi Aliwarga, MSMB focused on the 4.0 technology-based agribusiness sector and offered solutions for agriculture through RiTx, animal husbandry through LiTx, and fisheries through FisTx.

Smart Farming 4.0 Technology through RiTx

Smart Farming 4.0 technology that is blocked by MSMB through RiTx includes Agri Drone Sprayer (pesticide and liquid fertilizer drone), Drone Surveillance (drone for land mapping), Soil and Weather Sensor (soil and weather sensor), to Water Debit Sensor (sensor water discharge). In the process, MSMB will implement a traceability system.

“The idea of ​​a traceability system initiated by MSMB is in fact an advantage and is able to attract the attention of the judges at the Hermes Startup Award 2020,” he told reporters on Saturday (6/27/2020).

Kiwi revealed that Traceability is a risk management tool to respond to people’s food quality needs. Based on farming activities that are inputted by farmers through the RiTx Bertani application, farm products will be equipped with a QR code containing information on the farmers’ cultivation.

“The hope is to invite consumers to be more literate about the quality of food products consumed. For farmers themselves, traceability is an added value for the products they sell,” he said

“Currently, traceability is still in the development stage of MSMB, we will probably launch it in the next few months,” he added.

He considered MSMB’s achievements at the Hermes Startup Award to be a pride not only for UMG Idealab, but also included more than 3,000 MSMB members, 1,278 registered farmers, 200 working partners, the Government, stakeholders, and all Indonesian people who had supported.

Kiwi added, UMG Idealab will continue to be committed to being the center of technological innovation 4.0 in Indonesia through all its startups, with benefits and solutions that can be felt by all levels of society. This has been proven through Smart Farming 4.0 MSMB which is beneficial for farmers, fishermen, and farmers.
