Startup Shipper Appoints Angkasa Pura I Officials to Become Commissioner

Startup Shipper announced TNI Lieutenant General (ret) Ediwan Prabowo and Irfan Wahid as commissioners. This start-up in the logistics sector will focus on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Irfan Asy’ari Sudirman Wahid or familiarly called Ipang Wahid previously served as Special Advisor to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, for the Acceleration of Development of Tourism Destinations in 2019.

Then he was appointed as Independent Commissioner of PT Angkasa Pura I for the period 2020 – present. “I am very proud of the existence of Shipper as an e-commerce solution startup and strengthening the MSME sector,” said Irfan in a press statement, Monday (17/1).

Meanwhile, MSMEs make a major contribution to Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). “I hope that Shipper will become a sustainable company that is increasingly valuable, and can build a better Indonesian logistics ecosystem by taking advantage of the momentum of digitalization, especially at the MSME level,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. R. Ediwan Prabowo is a high-ranking officer in the Army. He received the Adhi Makayasa TNI Military Academy in 1984 from the Ajan Artillery branch.

He served as the main commissioner of PT Dahana (Persero) from 2015 to 2018. Dahana is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) which is engaged in the production of explosives.

“I believe that Shipper can strengthen and streamline logistics services in Indonesia and the world. Its services are very helpful for MSMEs to continue to grow exponentially,” said Ediwan.

The Presence of the Two Figures is Expected to Advance the Shipper

Co-Founder and Chief Operation Officer (COO) Shipper Budi Handoko said the two figures have a wealth of experience in their respective fields.

He hopes that their presence on the board of commissioners will further complement the competencies needed by Shippers in carrying out their missions and increasing the efficiency of the logistics ecosystem in Indonesia, especially MSMEs.
