Qlue Helps South Jakarta Regional Police Compile Data-Based Plans
Qlue, the most complete smart city ecosystem provider company in Indonesia, collaborates with the South Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit in combating drug abuse in the South Jakarta area.
The collaboration between Qlue and South Jakarta Police that has taken place since 2017 is a clear example of collaboration between the use of technology, law enforcement, and community participation. With the support of the three parties, this collaboration creates efficiency and effectiveness in terms of public reporting.
Qlue Founder and CEO Rama Raditya said, “The collaboration between Qlue and the South Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit is our social mission towards this nation and country. We fully support law enforcement efforts in combating drug abuse, in accordance with our mission to accelerate positive change in the world, starting from Indonesia. “
The Platform can be used for Data Analysis of Drug Abuse Cases
Rama added that QlueApp not only functions as a reporting channel but can also be used for data analysis regarding the distribution of drug abuse in the South Jakarta area. South Jakarta Metro Police can analyze which areas have high rates of drug abuse through data entered through QlueApp.
From this data, they can make short-term or long-term data-based plans, for example, the allocation of officers in the field or officers who conduct patrols.
Meanwhile, the South Jakarta Police Chief Commissioner Budi Sartono, S.I.K., M.Sc. said that good collaboration between South Jakarta Police and Qlue had been established since 2017. The results of this collaboration can be seen from the number of disclosures of drug abuse cases, and the amount of information or reports coming from the public.
“We collaborate with Qlue because we see that Qlue has proven to have a considerable social impact, especially in supporting the creation of good public services in DKI Jakarta,” said the South Jakarta Police Chief.
Reports through the Qlue Platform have been Increasing since 2017
Police Chief Commissioner Budi Sartono also said that reports of drug abuse in the South Jakarta region increased by 80% from 2017 to 2018, while the number of reports from 2018 to 2019 also increased by 40%, mainly through the Qlue channel.
“I hope that all Metro Police system can adopt the Qlue application so that the disclosure of drug abuse cases can be more focused not only in South Jakarta but also throughout Jakarta. In addition, I expect community participation to help the police in eradicating all crimes, especially the eradication of drugs through the Qlue application, “he added.
South Jakarta Head of Narcotics Abuse Division Vivick Tjangkung said, “Qlue is one form of our efforts in enforcing Law No.25 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, where we provide a forum for the public to provide information about suspected drug abuse easily.”
Head of Narcotics Abuse Division Vivick added Qlue had cut bureaucracy and the time needed by the public in reporting suspected drug abuse. “If the community had to come to the police station to do the reporting, now the report can be received immediately within seconds,” he said.
Data is more Accurate and Confidentiality is Guaranteed
In addition, the QlueApp application also includes information about the location of the report accurately so that the report can be followed up more quickly. This platform also allows people to get their report status quickly.
To report suspected drug abuse in the South Jakarta area, people only need to download and install QlueApp on their smartphone via iOS or Play Store, register, then make a report.
The confidentiality of the reporting data is also guaranteed because QlueApp uses an anonymous name. Reports submitted through QlueApp will go directly to the South Jakarta Metro Police Station and will be immediately verified by police officers.
To follow up on the report in the field, South Jakarta Metro Police also use Qlue’s labor-management application, namely QlueWork.
