In addition, Goodwater Capital, Rocketship.vc, Indogen Capital, FEBE Ventures, and Go-Ventures also participated in this round. This round was achieved less than three months after the announcement of the initial funding round led by Go-Ventures.

The company will use this fresh fund for three things. Namely, scaling its technology platform; build a world-class engineering and product team; and expand its market leading position in Indonesia by expanding to 20 new cities, such as Balikpapan, Kediri, and Cirebon. Currently, KitaLulus is present in 15 cities throughout Indonesia.

It is claimed, the acquisition of fresh funds is supported by the strong traction that has been achieved by KitaLulus compared to its peers within six months since its launch last year.

There are more than one million active users who use KitaLulus to find work, upgrade skills, and network. The platform facilitates nearly two million eligible job applications each month, with job applications doubling month-on-month since launch.

Companies flock to KitaLulus and find a suitable candidate on average within three days. The names include Shipper, Mustika Ratu, Japfa Group, Segari and Trans F&B.

“Our entire team is working very hard to keep up with this rapid growth, and ensure both employers and users are happy. This includes strengthening our product and engineering team in Indonesia to build a highly scalable platform to serve millions of users,” said KitaLulus Wei Co-Founder. Chuan Chew (Wibowo) in an official statement.

Community Based Platform

KitaLulus is the first community-oriented employment platform approved by the Ministry of Manpower in Indonesia. Through the platform, users can create profiles, view available jobs, take short screening tests, and make direct contact with potential employers via WhatsApp.

Users can also join relevant professional or educational communities where they can engage with one another, exchange notes to perform better in interviews, and share tips to improve their work.

Additionally, KitaLulus allows users to take online courses to prepare themselves for government and professional exams, with thousands of paying students having benefited from courses on the platform.

KitaLulus Co-Founder Stevien Jimmy added, Indonesia has one of the largest working age populations in the world. Unfortunately, many people have lost their jobs during the pandemic. With hiring rates starting to pick up, all businesses are hiring again.

His team is committed to building KitaLulus to help Indonesia get back to work by enabling people to network, improve skills and find their dream job.

“Over time, we also aspire to provide them with access to basic financial services. Traditional solutions including social media, job boards and recruitment agencies are simply not suited to solving the challenges faced by the masses”, says Stevien.

“We are impressed by KitaLulus’ strong organic growth. KitaLulus is well positioned to build a category-defining job platform in Indonesia, the world’s 4th largest internet market, and we are excited to partner with them,” added Tiger Global Partner Griffin Schroeder.
