GMO Payment Service is Now a Lender Institution at Investree

Fintech lending Investree welcomes a Japanese payment service provider, GMO Payment Gateway, as one of the Lender Institutions. Since 2019, Investree and GMO Payment Service have been committed to helping reduce the SME credit gap by utilizing technology and data to sustain SME growth.

Investree will utilize funding from the GMO Payment Service to finance more Indonesian SMEs through a variety of Investree loan portfolios, including Invoice Financing, Buyer Financing, Working Capital Term Loan, and Online Seller Financing in both conventional and sharia schemes.

Hope to Support SMEs in Indonesia

Prior to GMO Payment Gateway, several other international companies joined as Lender Institutions in fintech lending Investree.

“We hope this can further strengthen the funding support for SMEs so that they can be more empowered and accelerated in the recovery period for the Covid-19 pandemic, in accordance with the philosophy of our fifth anniversary umbrella campaign, namely Grow Faster,” said Adrian.

Meanwhile, Head of Asia Strategic Investment & Lending GMO-PG, Kohei Nakajima, believes that Investree is the right partner to support the empowerment of SMEs in Indonesia.

“We met Investree for the first time in 2018 and our cooperation will begin in 2019. We hope that our funding contribution can further strengthen Indonesian SMEs in the midst of difficult situations due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Kohei.

As of October 2020, Investree claims to have facilitated loans worth IDR 7.3 trillion to 1,429 borrowers and recorded around 120 thousand lenders.

In addition to adding a line of strategic collaborations with partners from various sectors and industries, Investree is also strengthening its presence by expanding to Thailand and the Philippines this year.

The Accumulation of Investree Financing Facility Reaches IDR 7.3 Trillion

PT Investree Radhika Jaya (Investree) as a P2P lending fintech operator has channeled an accumulated financing facility of Rp 7.3 trillion up to October 2020. This value is distributed to 1,429 loan recipients (borrowers) and recorded by around 120 thousand lenders.

Based on Investree data, the financing facility has been disbursed around Rp. 5 trillion with an average return rate of 16.9% pa. The success rate for the 90-day return was recorded at 99%.

The company continues to carry out a strategy of adding a line of institutional lenders to strengthen its funding support. Most recently, Investree welcomes a leading Japanese payment service provider, GMO Payment Gateway, as one of the institutional lenders.

The joining of these entities adds to the list of names of foreign institutional lenders who support Investree’s efforts in providing wider access to finance for SME players. Investree and GMO Payment Service cooperation has been going on for one year.

The two entities also work together to fund the SME loan portfolio sub-segment, in this case, the Investree borrowers. Since 2019, Investree and GMO Payment Service’s commitment has been to help reduce the SME credit gap by utilizing technology and data to sustain SME growth.

Funding support from the GMO Payment Service will be used to finance more Indonesian SMEs. This is mainly through Investree’s various loan portfolios, including invoice financing, buyer financing, working capital term loan, and online seller financing, all in conventional and sharia schemes.
