Expanding Access to Financing, Cashwagon Got Top Startup P2P Lending Award
The Cashwagon Team (PT Kas Wagon Indonesia) succeeded in bringing home the award as the winner of the Top P2P Lending Startup category at the 2019 Top Digital Awards at the Golden Ballroom, Sultan Hotel in Jakarta. The event was organized by IT Works Magazine.
IT Works Magazine collaborated with the Telco IT association and consulting firm to hold this event. It was attended by more than 700 participants, consisting mostly of IT top management companies and heads of government agencies. Before receiving this award, Cashwagon had passed the evaluation stage of an independent jury.
The CEO of PT Kas Wagon Indonesia, Asri Anjarsari, stated that the award was a testament to the hard work of the entire team that is carried out since the company began operating. Cashwagon itself was initially operated at the end of 2017.
“Many customers came (to the Cashwagon team) because they might not have been able to get access to financing from conventional financial institutions,” Asri said. She also hoped that the team can reach out to the wider Indonesian community and help them get access to finance,”
“We hope to reach out to help the community get financial access, both for short-term needs and emergencies, anywhere and anytime,” Asri added. Cashwagon itself operates a P2P platform that can change the way people earn extra income and access short-term credit online.
Cashwagon Has Generated Up To 300,000 Customers
Since its launch in November 2017, Cashwagon has generated more than 300,000 customers with a total transaction of more than 1,125,000 transactions. The Cashwagon digital platform is committed to providing access to a variety of financial products for those who have not been reached by conventional financial services.
To reach this goal, Cashwagon utilizes innovations such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data to provide competitive and quality products for all Indonesians. The startup is also known to go straight to the community when introducing its products and educating the public about financial technology.
This time, Cashwagon participated as one of the sponsors in the Yasporbi Pasar Minggu School Open House event at the Pasar Minggu Yasporbi School, Jakarta. The program entitled ‘Awaken Bright Creation with the Spirit of Heroism’ is also a place to channel the talents of the students.
Following Cashwagon’s mission to contribute to the financial inclusion, its participation in this event is a kind of implementation. Besides, the participation of Cashwagon in this event is also a form of commitment and direct contribution from Cashwagon to the world of education.
“I think this is a good moment for us to directly contribute to introducing fin-tech to the wider community. Thus, we can achieve financial inclusion,” Asri said. She also hoped that the Cashwagon platform can launch various innovations to meet the needs of the community.
Cashwagon Has Gained Several Certifications for Customers’ Security
“Cashwagon always strives to provide the best service for customers. We want all Indonesian citizens to get services in financial services, whoever they are without any difference. This will also certainly have an impact on the macroeconomy,” Asri explained.
Cashwagon always ensures the security and privacy of customers’ data, mitigates cyberspace risk, and handles their complaints. At present, Cashwagon has obtained several certifications relating to these matters, such as the ISO 27001: 2013 certification of the Information Security Management System from the British Standard Institution.
There is also a certification from the Siber and Sandi Negara (BSSN) Republic of Indonesia related to the Technical Information Security Index. “Cashwagon always works by following the rules and ethics code of the Fintech Association as well as the certification requirements for the safety and comfort of customers.”
“By participating in such events, it is hoped that fin-tech can be recognized by the parents of students. Then, the education provided can also be transmitted to students by their teachers,” Asri added. Meanwhile, Cashwagon will always attempt to innovate as well.
