Traveloka Invites to Provide Shelters for Medical Personnel

Traveloka has just announced a new initiation called “Sharing the Good with Traveloka Accommodation”. Through this program under the auspices of Traveloka Tanggap, Traveloka allows users to donate to medical personnel through the application.

Later, the donation program will be in the form of providing a place of rest for medical personnel in two Covid-19 referral hospitals in Jakarta. This program also strengthens the active contribution of Traveloka in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic with the initiation of Jalan Bersama.

“We believe that Jalan Bersama is a manifestation of the value of mutual cooperation that has become relevant in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This is what drives us to bring this program,” Traveloka’s VP of Market Management Accommodation, John Safenson, said in an official statement, Thursday (4/6/2020).

The donation program can be done by buying gift vouchers starting from IDR 50 thousand to IDR 5 million. In addition to donating, by buying this gift voucher users also contribute to helping selected hotel partners maintain their operations in the midst of a pandemic.

“This program is expected to be a forum for the people of Indonesia, especially Traveloka users to channel their goodwill in helping medical workers fight at the forefront to overcome the pandemic,” John said.

Later, this program can be accessed via the Jalan Bersama page on the Traveloka application home page. After selecting the desired product, users only need to choose the payment process in accordance with their preferences.

Meanwhile, to ensure the safety and health of medical personnel and other hotel visitors, Traveloka actively urges Zuri Hospitality Management hotel partners to always implement hygiene protocol standards and hotel service guidelines during the pandemic that are in accordance with government and World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations.

“Hotel partners have also implemented recommended hygiene and health protocols, such as requiring hotel workers to use personal protective equipment (masks and gloves); implementing procedures for measuring body temperature, both for workers and guests; provide handwashing soap and hand sanitizer in many locations in the hotel; conduct deep cleaning periodically by using disinfectant liquid; so as to maintain a minimum physical distance of 1 meter from guests and other workers,” he explained.

So far, there are 26 hotel partners who have participated in various programs for the provision of accommodation for medical personnel in Jakarta, Banten, Bali, Lombok, South Sulawesi, Yogyakarta, East Java, West Sumatra, Riau, and South Sumatra.

#JalanBersama Program has been Conducted by Traveloka, Collaborating with Various Parties

Previously, Traveloka has also carried out various collaborative programs with several parties to carry out a number of activities, ranging from the distribution of personal protective equipment, making donations, programs with users and partners for affected communities, to facilities for medical personnel. #JalanBersama through various collaborative programs shaded by Traveloka Tanggap, including:

1. Distribution of personal protective equipment

Traveloka is working with PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) to distribute thousands of N95 masks to passengers with international destinations at the international departure terminal of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on 4 to 6 February 2020.

In addition, the company also distributed thousands of fabric masks to Traveloka’s hotel partners spread across Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Solo, and Bali last April.

2. Donate

This startup also contributed IDR 200,000,000 in the program to provide 100,000 free test kits, initiated by East Ventures and compiled by the Indonesian movement, PASTI BISA.

3. Collaboration with users and partners for affected communities

Partnering with Kalbe Nutritionals to enable Traveloka users to exchange Traveloka Points with Milna Nature Delight packaging packages that have been distributed to 1,667 families.

Presenting the XERU Window Program that not only encourages users to continue to develop themselves and remain productive during the #DiRumahAja period but also allows users to make donations in the form of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical personnel and help Traveloka Xperience partners who need help in the current situation.
