Zenius Received Series A Funding of US $ 20 Million from Three Investors
Zenius Education’s technology-based education platform announced funding of US $ 20 million or around Rp260 billion. Three investors participated in funding aimed at building a strong commitment to stringing bright and bright Indonesia.
The three investors in the funding are Northstar Group, Kinesys Group, and BeeNext. With the injection of Series A funds, Zenius plans to utilize this funding to multiply growth, develop appropriate technology, and expand the reach of Zenius services to all corners of Indonesia.

In terms of learning products, Zenius doesn’t just focus on the number of users, aka how many videos are accessed by students. However, Zenius also has a mission to increase the engagement of users.
The engagement will be enhanced through the development of three “supplement education” products, like online recorded content, online live, and O2O. This was said by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zenius Education Rohan Monga during the Announcement of Zenius Series A Funding to the media which took place in GoWork, Jakarta, Wednesday (05/02/2020).
Content’s Development is one of Zenius’ Focus after Funding
Through the injection of funds, Zenius not only plans to develop business, but also develops learning products, brings quality teachers for an effective learning process, and expands reach to remote areas of Indonesia.
“With this A series funding, we want to continue developing content, refreshing existing content with a new look, we have whiteboard content, then marketing, products and technology and also the addition of talent,” Rohan said during the Zenius Series A Funding Announcement in GoWork , Jakarta on Wednesday (5/2).
In order to be more aggressive in the growth of Zenius technology, Rohan said that there were already two engineering teams formed in Indonesia and India.
Sabda PS, Co-Founder and Chief Education Officer of Zenius Education added that Zenius content is now complete. But he said there would be content updates for example from the visual side.
“We have completed the content, we will develop it, for example, visuals are matched with Gen Z, when we made high school students, we are still millennial, but now we have Gen Z high school children, we want them to be addicted to learning,” Sabda said.
Last year, Zenius Has Waived the Cost of Accessing 80,000 Learning Videos
Zenius has several types of products, with the main product being zenius.net, an online learning website that contains more than 80,000 learning videos and hundreds of thousands of practice questions for elementary and high school levels that have been adapted to the national curriculum.
“December 2019 Zenius learning access is free of charge. All students can access learning videos in the hope that children become addicted to learning,” said Sabda. This is what makes Zenius more motivated to develop learning products so that students can learn more effectively.
Throughout 2019 zenius.net was accessed by more than 12.8 million users from rural and urban areas throughout Indonesia.
In addition, it was recorded from January 2011 to December 2019 that there were a total of 51 million unique users, more than 1 million registered users, 190 million times the video was played, and 3 million times the questions were downloaded.
Zenius itself has been established since 2004 which from the very beginning had focused on digitalization in the world of education. Officially launched Zenius application in June last year, and started service on the website since 2010.
